 Unit #4 Foundation

A non-profit corporation organized to promote education for students attending Community Unit School District #4, Mendon, IL.

 

History and Purpose

The Foundation was organized to receive and disburse funds, property and gifts of any kind, exclusively for the benefit and support of the Community Unit School District #4.

The Foundation shall assist education in the following manner:

  • Accept, administer and disburse gifts, grants and bequests of property in such many as the Foundation deems appropriate for the benefit of the present and future students of Community Unit School District #4.
  • Make grants and award scholarships for the purpose of furthering the education of our youth.
  • Make funds available for the enhancement of teaching tools and facilities to prepare our youth for the future.
  • Provide financial support to the school.
  • Promote community involvement.

Our non-profit organization is:

  • a 501 (c) (3) Charitable Organization
  • chartered by the State of Illinois
  • governed by a volunteer Board of Directors
  • dedicated to the goal of educational excellence

1:1 Laptop Initiative Support - The Foundation generously donates $10,000 to support the district’s 1:1 laptop pilot program.  President Julie Duke is pictured presenting check to Superintendent Diane Robertson.
