NOTES FROM THE OFFICE

ISAT Testing: Will be the week of March 5th. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of sleep and a good breakfast.

Karaoke Night: UMS will be holding a Karaoke Night on March 23rd for all 7th and 8th grade students in the high school cafeteria. Please contact Mr. Littleton for more information.

UMS Science Fair: will be held on March 30th. Contact Mrs. Keefe for more information.

Lip Sync: Forms are available in the offices!

Mustang Shirts: There are Student Leadership Team shirts on hand at the UMS for 12.00. Small and Medium are the shirt sizes available.

Powerschool: If you have not signed up for Powerschool yet…….please contact us! It is a great way to check your child’s lunch balance, attendance, grades, and more.

Dropping off items: You are welcome to drop off items for your child in the office. Your child can come in at study hall to pick up their items.

Phone Calls: We are continually getting work for absent students, fixing lockers, and delivering items to classrooms and offices. Be sure to leave a voice mail message if no one answers the phone. Your child can return your phone call to you………we do this at study hall time.

Bus Changes: Please notify us of your bus changes by 1:00. If you call after 1:00 we may not be able to grant you your bus change.

Box Tops: We are collecting them! We would appreciate the Middle School Students bringing in Box Tops!

Doctor Notes: Please remember that if you are going to the doctor or orthodontist………to bring a note from your appoinment. Thank you!

Year Books: Are still available for the cost of 20.00. If you are interested the forms are in the Middle School Office.

Tutoring: There is a form available in the office if you need assistance from a tutor.

NOTES FROM UMS STUDENT COUNCIL

This year’s student council members are Elaina Meyer, Sumer Howell, Kayden Miller, and Ashlyn Neil.

Student Council has been busy lately getting ready for the Sweetheart Dance which was held Friday, February 10th in the HS cafe from 7-10pm. We had a total of 91 students attend the dance, which was an all time high! The students enjoyed refreshments, cookies and candy as they danced the night away. Many students told myself and other staff members it was the best dance ever! The girls really enjoyed dressing up, even though it was not mandatory. The Sweetheart dance gave them a reason to put on a dress and have fun. Many of the boys also wore nice shirts and had fun too. As usual, Ray Meyer from The Sounds the Limit Productions DJ’ed the event. Ray is very interactive with the students, keeps them entertained and takes requests all night long. Many student council members helped decorate and set up for the dance, which is always greatly appreciated. Thanks for all who helped! The dance would not be possible with out you all!

We will planning our next dance sometime in May! It will be a Hawaiian Luau theme and will be held outside in front of the Middle School, weather permitting! We will be grilling hotdogs and hamburgers for the event! We are looking forward to it and can’t wait! It has been a great year!
