Community Unit School District #4 (CUSD #4), also known as Unity, is a small, rural school district located in Mendon, Illinois. Established in 1948 through the consolidation of four community schools, CUSD #4 Unity educates approximately 700 students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. CUSD #4 Unity is committed to creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
CUSD #4 is comprised of approximately 220 square miles in rural northern Adams County. The district's service area includes Mendon, Lima, Loraine, and Ursa, as well as the smaller communities of Fowler, Marcelline, and Meyer, with a combined community population of roughly 4,200 citizens.
