The Unit 4 Foundation was organized to receive funds and gifts, to award student scholarships, make grants for special classroom projects and other programs to enhance the education of students attending Unit 4 schools. When the foundation reflected on the treasured history of the school district formed in 1948, they were struck by the uniqueness of the smaller school systems, the community support they enjoy, and especially the success enjoyed by many of the graduates.
Scholarships
The Foundation is focused on educational excellence. Each year they honor UHS seniors who have showen their personal commitment to their education while at Unity, and plan to continue their pursuit of excellence through further education. The Foundation oversees many scholarships for Unity High School students. Each year they award about 15-20 scholarships to graduating UHS seniors.

In addition to scholarships, the Foundation provides funds for educational opportunities that cannot be funded out of the district budget. The focus of these grants is improving student learning. Congratulations to the 2015 grant recipients!
