Thank you to Chief Deputy Rich Wagner and Deputy Adam Goehl and their team of deputies for conducting an Active Threat Drill for our high school and middle school today. These drills are essential in helping our students and staff prepare for different scenarios which unfortunately may happen in schools today.
I would like to commend our students, staff and administration for their participation and performance in today's drills. Everyone reacted and performed will in the scenarios that were conducted. Following the drills the students were given an opportunity to reflect on what had happened as a group as well as with their individual teachers.
I encourage parents/guardians to speak to their children tonight about the drills and help them process what they would do in the event there was an active threat in the school. Again, it is our goal to provide the best education in the safest environment for your child.
Yours in education,
Scott D. Riddle, Superintendent
